On Thursday, July 24 at 7:22 pm, a District 4 officer responded to a breaking and entering report in the 400-block of Marlborough Street. The victim said he had gone out for 20 minutes to check his car parked at a Newbury Street meter. He left his apartment’s rear door unlocked.
The victim returned home to find the stove was on and someone had cooked an omlet. The Phantom Gourmet galloped off with the victim’s $1,949 laptop and $700 guitar.
The cops aren’t the only ones looking for the fellow. The Food Network wants him to host “Grub on the Run” featuring quick, healthful noshes. The show is sure to be a hit with fleeing criminals and over-scheduled professionals alike.
