Back to the Boston downtown office? Not so fast…
After two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, some companies are transitioning their employees back from working remotely to working in the office, or some hybrid of the two – and many workers are saying no. Correspondent David Pogue looks at how employers and employees are responding to a new business paradigm.
My Boston real estate thoughts
As far as my Boston condo agents and apartment rental agents are concerned, I let them decide whether to come into the office or not. Most have selected to work from home when their not out with clients showing properties.
I believe giving them the freedom to make their own decisions has made them more productive in the long-run.
As a Boston real estate broker I was never a big advocate for mandating Boston agent floor time. In the past, it may have been a worthwhile endeavor, but with the internet most buyers are viewing properties online before ever walking into a Boston real estate office.
