Beacon Hill story when two halves equal five
While walking back from showing Beacon Hill apartment rentals, I became excited as I saw something that caught my eye on the brick sidewalk, as my hand swooped toward the ground like an eagle attacking its prey. I picked up half of a $5 bill.
I continued to walk back to my Beacon Hill real estate office, at same time looking for the other half but thought to myself it would be impossible to find it on such a rainy day. As I lifted my head, I spotted the other half of the bill dangling from a lose chain held up by grate iron polls that squared around a dying flower patch on the sidewalk. Somehow, finding two halves of a ripped $5 bill felt better than renting out a Beacon Hill apartment. Well, at least for those few seconds.
