Berklee plans new student housing

Both the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe today reported on plans by Berklee College of Music to expand its on-campus housing with a $65 million, 16-story new student center. Berklee will submit plans to the Boston Redevelopment Authority next year for the new building at 168 Mass. Ave., and if approvals go through, expects to start building next fall. The new building has housing for 350 students, a dining hall and recording studios too. The shift to on-campus housing is sure to please city officials.
