Boston Real Estate News: Redfin launches New Platform in downtown Boston
Redfin has launched RedfinNow in the Boston area, marking the first iBuyer service in the local market.
Boston homebuyers can use the platform to request a cash offer directly from Redfin, allowing them to sell without having to worry about making home improvements before selling or dealing with open houses and private showings, according to a company release.
“RedfinNow gives homeowners certainty and control over exactly when they sell with a strong cash offer that lets them avoid the stress of home prep and repairs and clearing out for open houses and home tours,” RedfinNow Vice President Jason Aleem said in the release. “Boston home prices grew by double-digits in March, but this hot market is a double-edged sword for sellers who also need to buy.”
RedfinNow is available in 23 markets in nine states and Washington, D.C. Sellers can choose to list their homes on the open market with Redfin’s local agents or use the company’s concierge listing service to prepare their home for market.
Redfin is making offers on single-family homes and townhomes built after 1900 in parts of Middlesex, Norfolk and Plymouth counties. The company expects to expand to additional neighborhoods and property types in the region over time.
