Fidelity has announced it is moving 1,500 employees to Rhode Island next year.

The Boston Herald did a comparison of Boston and Providence (click on photo to read).

Boston comes out ahead.  Ahem, a lot ahead.  Are you surprised?

In an accompanying article, Jay Fitzgerald lets us know that, while MA has a higher average home price ($400,000 vs. $271,000), RI has a higher income tax rate for the rich (9.9% in RI vs. 5.3% in MA).

But, it turns out, Fidelity employees won’t have to worry about it:
