Downtown Boston condos for sale: Is it a buyer’s or seller’s market?
The Boston condo sales market in some neighborhoods is very slow, but the Boston suburbs has fierce competition.
That is a tough question to answer. Some Boston downtown condo owners would say that it’s a good time to sell because the prices are going to continue to go down and if you want to get more out of your Boston high-rise condo then sell it now. Some Boston Midtown Condo owners say it’s a good time to buy because prices are stagnating and there is a lot of inventory to pick from.
I would have to agree with the buyers right now.
Most people say the left and that sounds like where you want to be. Prices are steady with more and more price reductions so will we continue to appreciate from here and moving into 2019. Only time will tell.
If you ask me Id buy now. There is a lot of inventory, sellers will be easier to negotiate with, you won’t have a lot (or any) competition, and you can still get that deal of the century before the market moves back.
One thing is certain “The times are changing.” It will be interesting to see where we go from here but I think it is almost impossible not to see some changes in the Boston Midtown high-rise condo market.
