Downtown condo market is ‘thawing’

Downtown condo sales continued to improve in the second quarter, jumping to 849 sold units from 653. But prices fell a bit, by 3.6 percent, to a median price of $443,500.

The sales news is definitely encouraging, but let’s hold the champagne for the moment. Let’s see the third quarter numbers first. Sales through the second quarter were still influenced by the homebuyer tax credit.
