There may yet be life in the downtown Boston real estate scene.
A quick-snapping reader over at the Arch-Boston blog took a photo of what appears to be a mock-up of the exterior of the Hayward Place multi-use project, a 14-story mid-rise proposed for what is now a parking lot, facing the Paramount movie theater, Opera House, and Ritz Carlton Towers, in Boston’s Downtown Crossing / Ladder District / Chinatown neighborhoods.
This site has long been scheduled for development; the latest plans had the current project built by 2009. Since there’s been no word of ground-breaking anytime soon (or, final BRA approvals, for that matter), I’d say it’s at least a year further on than that.
