In Massachusetts, you might think the housing recovery is now beyond the recovery stage and in the midst of a full-blown boom, at least in some areas.
But wait: Foreclosure petitions spiked in March in Massachusetts, while nationally officials are getting nervous about the housing-market recovery elsewhere.
The Warren Group’s Tim Warren cautions that other foreclosure data indicates the March numbers may well be an aberration. Okay.
But you have to wonder about this recovery because of all the other oddities involved, including extremely tight inventories, the continued fall in overall sales (though not prices), the number of homes still under water, the high number of foreign buyers of homes, etc., etc., etc.
