Just when you thought it was safe to talk about an obvious housing recovery, the latest S&P Case Shiller index says that Boston was only one of three metro areas in the US to see a worsening year-over-year price pattern in housing.
We’re sure there’s some good local news — or at least logical local news — somewhere in the report. But we’re too busy scratching our heads to find it. Recent data from other sources paint a more positive picture of the local market.
Anyway, the rest of the country is doing much better than it has in the past. Which, overall, is a welcome development for everyone.
