Boston Real Estate for Sale

The Boston City Council will decide today on enacting new enviro-friendly energy efficiency rules for new developments in Boston. Developers, however, are none too thrilled with the timing of the environmental rules, which they say will guarantee increased building costs at a time when funding is already tight for any new projects.

It would also affect the esthetics of new buildings. Recently, large projects in the Boston area (like the new mixed-use $60 million Liberty Wharf project that’s home to a new Legal Seafoods) have favored expansive glass walls. That may come to an end with the new energy friendly rules.
