Boston Real Estate for Sale

Redfin entered the Boston market back in March. They started helping buyers of real estate negotiate transactions and close deals. They also helped sellers market and sell their properties (ending up with so much business that they had to close down for a week or two, in July …!).

In return for working with a Redfin agent, a buyer or seller was able to get a rebate of 2/3’s of the commission on the deal.

Sounded pretty good. But, Boston’s a hard nut to crack, and Redfin has yet to make much of a dent in the market.

At least, so far …

Today, the company made a grand announcement regarding their company and website.

According to a company spokesperson:

Redfin has Boston Forums, Boston agents, Boston customers and Boston Sweet Digs blog on the horizon. How more local can we go?!

Today Redfin added local pages for each of its markets. The Boston local page boston.redfin.comhas all sorts of cool information for Bostonians all in one place“ you can access popular Boston searches in one click, check out what people are asking in the Boston Forum, find helpful local information  and the best part, click right through to the Boston Real Estate Blog!

Wait, that’s me!

Anyway, it’s a good thing that Redfin is spending more time and effort on its Boston operation. From what I hear, other “discount” real estate brokers (I know, Redfin hates that term) are circling the city, looking for a good time to set down.
