The day of using a traditional Boston real estate agent may be coming to to an end. Replaced by a robot.
The robot, nicknamed Rex is capable of answering 75 questions about a Boston condo.
The concept was created by a team of entrepreneurs in the technology, finance and the real estate industry.
Roughly 8% of home sales were from Sale By Owner sites, while 87% of sellers used a traditional broker. The robot concept is trying to increase the 8% number.
One interesting point. Its research has found that the average buyer for a $500,000 home lives within 12 miles of the home their going to purchase. A $1M buyer lives within 18 miles. But a $50M buyer is global and already has a home worth over $10M.
