Congratulations to Marty Walsh and John Connolly for getting into the final mayoral election yesterday.
But we should be grateful to all the candidates.
It was a surprisingly civil, issues-orientated preliminary election — and a number of the losing candidates proved they were definitely of mayoral caliber. It was a real eye-opener to see so many qualified leaders and candidates out there on the campaign trail in Boston.
So, thank you, all mayor candidates.
You did Boston proud.
