Last month, The Boston Foundation released its 2004 Greater Boston Housing Report Card. It is a very interesting report on the state of the housing market in Boston and the greater Boston metropolitan area.
I question the sources of the data they use, but that’ll be a post for another day.
No matter how you slice it, however, I think you’d have to conclude that home prices are “high” (offset by low mortgage loan rates) and that this might be having a serious effect on whether or not Boston will continue to attract young, intelligent and sophisticated people to live here.
