Boston Real Estate for Sale

This Case Shiller 100-year chart seems to indicate that the nation’s housing correction (i.e. falling prices) has a way to go before it’s all over, though it’s well past the halfway mark at this point.

Our suspicion is that we’re further along in the correction here in Massachusetts, compared to the rest of the nation. The chart is a national average — and the Bay State traditionally has had higher housing prices. But who knows?

FYI: We’d reproduce the chart here, but its designer appears pretty sensitive, and understandably so, about not getting proper credit when others use it elsewhere. So we’ll just let you click to it.

Update — Here’s the top 10 regions facing a potential market collapse. Don’t worry. Boston isn’t one of them.
