As Avalon at Assembly Square starts renting its new apartments, we checked out the prices.
Now, by average American standards, they’re high, starting in the $2,500 range for a one-bedroom, 700-square-foot unit and climbing to $4,700 for a three-bedroom for 12 months (see three-bedroom floor-plan sketch above).
But, still, they’re brand new and, well, this is the Boston area.
The good news: There’s about 2,000 other apartment units planned for Assembly Square alone in coming years. Each one will play its own small part in helping stabilize prices by expanding the housing stock, or so we hope. See post below.
