Warren Group: Home sales saw big spike in August

The Warren Group is confirming that August sales of both single-family homes and condos were up in Massachusetts.

Prices for single-family homes dipped by 3.4 percent in August, but condo prices were up a solid 5.8 percent over last year.

Of course, there’s a caveat: Last year’s numbers were skewed by the end of the federal tax-credit program.

Still, the numbers look relatively good.
