WIFFLE® Boston 2008
When: Saturday, August 23, 2008, 9:30am – 12:30pm
Where: City Hall Plaza

The tournament, run by ONEin3 Boston and Social Boston Sports, will feature 32 teams competing in a single elimination tournament on City Hall Plaza for the City of Boston WIFFLE Championship. Each team will consist of five players and must be coed.

Registration is open for all young people who live, work and play in Boston. Teams should register for the tournament at the Social Boston Sports Registration Page no later than August 15. There is no cost for participation.

Mayor Menino will kick off the tournament by throwing out the first pitch at 10:15 a.m. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. The games will run seven innings or 45 minutes each. Following the tournament, Social Boston Sports will be hosting a post-game celebration in close proximity to City Hall Plaza.

Too rusty on your WIFFLE game to play on a team? No worries! Come by anyway to participate in home run derby or one of our other interactive games for specators. Games, food and fun will cover the plaza so don’t miss out!
