Brian was bent on one knee as he tied his sneakers. he left his Beacon Hill apartment and proceeded to jog up Beacon Street, as a cold gust hit his face. He nodded his good mornings to fellow joggers and to dog walkers as he enjoyed the chirping birds from the park.
When he finished his laps, up Beacon Street, down Bowdoin St., and across Charles Street, he stopped at the Starbucks on the corner, and bought his usual cup of Vanilla Sweet Cream Nitro Cold Brew.
The Barista behind the counter, wearing her company-issued green apron, handed Brian his change. “Crisp morning..” She said with a smile.
Brian sipped his coffee before responding. “Yeah, sure is.”
He said goodbye, walked over to his apartment building and took a seat on the front steps over-looking the Boston Common.
The park began to fill with individuals rushing to work, along with dog owners taking their pets for morning walks as the cool air warmed.
Brain sat back and relaxed and closed his eyes.
He was so elated that he made the choice to rent a Beacon Hill apartment.
