A short story about friendly real estate competition

For years, three Boston real estate companies coexisted on the same block on Charles Street in Beacon Hill.

Then one day, Compass Real Estate put a sign in their window saying: “Compass is ranked the best condo real estate office in America.” Not to be outdone Coldwell Banker soon put a sign in their window proclaiming: “We’ve been ranked the best real estate office in the world.” Finally, Ford Realty Inc. responded with this sign: ” Ford Realty is ranked the best condo office on the block.”
