The popular Villa Mexico Cafe, whose home for the past six years has been in the Grampy’s Gas Station on Beacon Hill, was scheduled to close yesterday to make way for a new residential development at 296 Cambridge Street.
But fear not: The owner says city officials are going to help her move across the street, to 309 Cambridge Street, between the Liberty Hotel and the MGH Museum.
