Is the market dead? Or are Boston condo buyers on Summer vacation?
In my recent Boston real estate blog post. I’ve shown data that indicates that Boston condo sales are down in July, and listings are sitting longer, so it would be easy to assume the market is slowing.
I know Boston condo buyers want it to believe the market is slowing down and listing prices will follow. They are seeing everything though doom-colored glasses, which reinforces that it’s a great time to play it safe on the sidelines to see if the market crashes.
I don’t like reading too much into summer Boston condo stats. So the question remains: Is the Boston condo market going to shift from a sellers market to a buyers market? Or is it that Boston condo buyers are on vacation, and come September the buying frenzy will start up again?
