Last week, I received a postcard from a real estate company claiming to be number #1. There is another company with ad in a my Winchester local newspaper for a real estate company that claims to be number #1 as well.

There seems be a lot of #1 real estate companies in Boston and the surrounding areas. So now I’ll join the #1 club

Ford Realty is number 1

Ford Realty is number 1 is number one in having the most recovering alcoholics for a Boston real estate office, or maybe my agents have the most pets or the highest cholesterol level in Beacon Hill.

Okay, just joking on the above paragraph. I was just trying to make the point.

These real estate companies that claims of being number 1 is vague; no specifics are provided. Real estate companies that have more real estate agents usually have more sales.

Boston condo for sale buyers are usually attracted to the condo rather than a real estate company. They won’t buy a Boston condo because the sign in front is from a number 1 real estate company.

Real estate companies do not sell Boston condos. Real estate agents sell properties, and most agents are independent contractors. Choose the right agent and that agent will take care of the rest. If an agent claims to be number #1, ask for specifics. I like to ask for proof.

The good news is if you are looking for a real estate agent, there are many, perhaps hundreds to choose from.
