Boston Real Estate for Sale

Reported in Boston.com’s Your Town section, a Beacon Hill resident wants to turn unused storefront space around the Hill into temporary art galleries. The idea is that owners of unleased/unbought commercial property can get some interest generated by hosting temporary art galleries — which give local artists much need venues for their art.

The idea is not new (there are “roving” galleries in London, NYC) but a local engineer, David Griswold, thinks Boston is ripe for the idea. He’s still setting up the non-profit, but according to the article, he’s getting nods of approval already from City Hall and the Beacon Hill Civic Association.
