Frank Quaratello over at the Boston Herald reports how a new book connects the dots of how Governor Patrick ended up going from a Justice Dept. prosecutor of subprime lender bad boy Ameriquest to sitting on its board. Actually … we knew all of this, but the book apparently has some juicy details of the millionaire who ran Ameriquest “led a cocaine-fueled boiler room culture of predatory lenders who helped create the subprime mortgage crisis.”
The book is “The Monster: How a Gang of Predatory Lenders and Wall Street Bankers Fleeced America – And Spawned a Global Crisis.”
