You just knew this was going to happen: The board overseeing the Rose Kennedy Greenway says it doesn’t have enough money to maintain and build out the park system.
They spent $14 billion on the Big Dig — and probably spent more on tunnel handrails alone than they did on the surface park itself. The one thing people truly want — a handsome, vibrant park system — and they don’t have enough money for it. Great.
