I thought this was an interesting news story that I read over the weekend.
A tech journalist left the company he worked for and took 17,000 Twitter followers with him. When his former boss demanded his Twitter password he refused.
The tech journalist’s former company sued the journalist that viewed each of the 17,000 followers at a value of
$2.50 which they claim is the industry standard.
The journalist requested the court dismiss the case. A federal judge refused to dismiss the complaint. The more here.
