285 Columbus Lofts is a new condo project, currently under construction. It is a renovation of the old Red Cross building, at the corner of Columbus Ave and Clarendon St.
From the developer’s website:
Upon completion in spring 2008, the eight-story complex will offer 63 loft-style one- and two-bedroom condos, ranging from 750 to 1,600 square feet. The residences will feature European-inspired designs, warm color palettes, walnut cabinetry, and Wolf, Jenn-Air, and Grohe appliances. Prices will range from about $500,000 to $1.8 million. Buyers will have access to garage parking, a common roof deck, and extra storage space. The exterior of the building will also be fully restored, and a 10,000-sq.-ft. the restaurant will occupy the ground floor. The community is located near public transportation, shopping, and entertainment.
