A message in a bottle
In 2015, an English professor at Suffolk University in Beacon Hill challenged students to communicate in an old-fashioned way.
One student, stuck a note in a bottle, sealed it with a cork and wax, and threw it into the Boston Harbor.
Ten years latter, in 2025, an elderly woman despaired and felt like a castaway, an island lost at sea, due to the recent death of her husband of many years.
As she was walking along the shore of Buzzard Bay in Cape Cod , her head down, she saw the bottle.
At that time, a real estate broker was also standing by the shore. The elderly woman asked the broker, “Can you help me uncork this bottle?” The broker obliged.
The woman read the note: “You are not alone. Jesus is here. He loves you. Have faith. Help is at hand.”
The woman hugged the broker and thanked him uncontrollably.
Peace be with you
