A South Boston brokers conversation with his son

Tommy is a successful South Boston condo broker, happily married, but he’s discouraged by one of his adult sons.

Tommy: “How was it?” he said.

“Okay,” his son replied.

Tommy: ‘Do you have any interviews next week?”

He sipped his coffee.

“Yes” Opened the fridge and pulled out a can of sparkling water.

Sitting down across from his dad. “Zoom interview.”

“Do you think you’ll like it?”

“What?”

“Working.”

“Yeah.” Taking another sip from his water.

Tommy, frustrated: “You should try it, you can’t live in this house forever.’

His son’s face turned red and left the kitchen to his bedroom.

Tommy put his coffee cup in the sink, grabbed a beer from the fridge and stepped into the family room.
