1. Real estate agent commissions typically come out of the proceeds of the sale of the home.

“FSBOs typically have a lower median selling price:….Thus the typical agent- assisted home sale typically has a 13 percent higher sales price than the typical FSBO sale.”

4. Real estate agent commissions are not fixed. All real estate commissions are negotiable.
