REBNY compared the peak year of housing (condo) production before the recession in New York and Boston with the housing production in 2013.
The results…
Boston building permits increased from 2,419 in 2006 to 2,561 in 2013. New York City hasn’t yet reached its pre-recession peak, with only 17,911 in 2013 compared to 22,911 at its peak.
