Last week, the Boston Courant published an article entitled: ‘Population is getting younger’ The article was based on the American Community Survey (ACS). Listed below are some interesting results:
* Of the 25 major U.S. cities, Boston has the highest proportion of young professionals.
* More than 80 percent of Back Bay and Beacon Hill residents that are 25 years or older have a bachelor’s degree.
* 40 percent of employed Beacon Hill and Back Bay residents have salaries of more than $100,000 per year, and the median is about $83,000.00.
