Scott Van Voorhis has a hoot of a column today over at the Real Estate Now blog. The topic was urine – namely cat urine. Yes, it got Scott to thinking how much his elderly cats are costing his home in resale value, so he asked for some advice. One realtor told him about a Marlborough Street condo that was in great condition, except of course if you ignored the pervasive smell of cat urine. The cost? The realtor estimated it brought down the value of the property by $20K-$30K.
