The developer of the proposed $500 million Fenway Center wants to close the Yawkey T commuter station for a year to jump-start the project’s construction.
But faster than you can say “play ball,” the T has effectively responded: No way. They are not going to close the station for a year.
Hopefully, the T’s decision won’t delay the Fenway Center project, which includes more than 300 housing units, hundreds of thousands of square feet of office and retail space, and lots of construction jobs.
