Roseland Property Co. and Lennar Urban Northeast are constructing a massive seven-building, 13-acre, 550-unit luxury condominium and apartment complex on the East Boston waterfront.
The $275 million project will be made up of a series of 5- and 7-story glass, metal, and masonry buildings. The first buildings will come on the market in about two years; the four pier buildings are scheduled to open in early 2010.
About 65,000 square feet of the development on the ground floor will house restaurants, retail establishments, and meeting areas accessible to everyone, and much of that will face the water.
Half the acreage will remain parks and open space.
