Like many mothers, Sheila Denahy planned to pass the sapphire and diamond rings she’s collected over the years on to her children as family heirlooms.

But that’s not likely to occur thanks to a brazen thief who stole the valuable rings from her bedroom closet over the weekend during an open house that was held at her home.
