Having the appearance of being true
Today, I went on a Boston condo for sale showing. I was excited for this one particular showing, because online the condo looked amazing in the pictures.
I don’t think I was ever more disappointed on a Boston condo for sale showing than on this property.
Bottom line, Beware of photos when viewing properties on line, they may have the appearance of being true, but in reality there not.
Here’ another one:
Dating sites:
Male: “I’ve not been online dating long,” he texted.
(Definition = registered to six sites since 2017)
Female: “Me neither. I’ve high standards in who I date,” she texted.
(Definition = I’m 36 and desperate to have kids with almost anyone)
Male: “I wouldn’t usually try online: I’ve a wide circle of friends,” he texted.
(Definition = I get crocked every weekend)
Female: “I actually enjoy cozy one-to-ones on the sofa,” she texed.
(Definition = I sit alone every weekend with a bottle wine watching Netflix)
Male: “I’ll text you,” he vaguely committed.
Female: “That’d be nice,” she lied.
(Verisimilitude (abstract noun); Definition = having the appearance of being true)
