How long does it take to sell a downtown Boston condo in December?
The most common question I get from Boston condo for sale owners is: “How long will it take to sell my downtown Boston condo this time of year?” I pulled up some numbers from the Multiple Listing Service and the average amount of time it takes to sell a downtown Boston condo in December and it is about 40 days. Boston condos that are in the $400k – $800k price range sell the fastest and condominiums that are priced over $1M take a couple of days longer to sell.
There are a lot of variables. I suppose the numbers refer to the “average” property. The bottom line, in either case, the condo needs to be priced right. Typically it takes a little longer to sell a condominium in December than it takes in March.
