According to Banker & Tradesman:
DND DIRECTOR: Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino has named Evelyn Friedman as director of the Department of Neighborhood Development. Friedman has served as executive director of Nuestra Comunidad Development Corp. in Roxbury since 1991.
Friedman, 58, replaces Charlotte Golar Richie, who joined the Patrick administration last summer. One City Hall source said the mayor and Golar Richie had a “tense” relationship while Friedman “seems to have a better temperament for the job.”
