Today, I glanced at my Yahoo email account and I noticed I had 100,000 plus emails that I never deleted. You must be thinking; “John you’re exaggerating” sadly I’m not.
I went to view one of my oldest emails which dated back to 2005. I think before then I had a Hotmail account. Perhaps now is a good time to change to Gmail.
In one of my oldest emails, a client told me she was unhappy and it was because she hated her apartment. these emails make me happy because it means she wants to move.
Here’s a question worth pondering: can moving out of the imperfect apartment justify your habit of being unhappy? Does something have to happen in the outside world for you to be happy inside?
Or, to put it differently, can where you reside determine your mood?
Happiness, for most of us, is a choice. Reality is not. It seems, though, that choosing to be happy can change your reality.
p.s I took a philosophy class in college, I was hoping someday it would come in handy.
