Here’s some good news for the hometown team, and we’re not talking the Red Sox. Boston Beer Co., makers of Sam Adams beer, has had an impressive run-up in its stock this year. It’s stock price has risen 78 percent this year reports the Boston Business Journal. Over all sales are up 13 percent for the year.
Guess what they say is true: in recessions there’s only one thing people usually buy more of — beer and wine.
