Sounds as though more residential housing may soon rise around Fenway Park.
An automotive service center, that has been a fixture in the city’s Fenway District since the 1970s, has been sold to an affiliate of local developer Samuels & Associates. The buyer paid just under $10 million for 1345 Boylston St. to its owner/operator, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., which signed a short-term leaseback of the property.
Through his company, Samuels & Associates, Steve Samuels, developer and erstwhile Hollywood producer, has built several large residential projects in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, including the Trilogy apartment building, now finished and occupied, and 1330 Boylston, which is taking deposits now for a Summer opening.
Fenway Community Health Center’s new headquarters is a part of the 1330 Boylston development, as is office and retail space, and a parking garage.
