It won’t take long before you find information that you can agree with and that will contradict anything your agent may have said. That is one of the many reasons I write this blog. Being published on the internet every day allows me to express my thoughts which may contradict my fellow brokers. I try to remember to remind people that real estate is locally regulated and that what I write about here may not apply outside of the downtown Boston real estate market.
I had one agent tell me how busy she is and my blog was providing enough information on bidding wars for various properties. I asked her where is this happening? Her answer Arlington MA. Ok, but it’s not happening in the Beacon Hill condo for sale market.
For the record, I try to publish a responsible Boston real estate blog. when I publish sales data I check numbers and other facts that I publish and the rest is my opinion. If you are an agent reading this and you don’t have a blog of your own you are missing out on a huge opportunity to become the “they” that people take advice from.
