Retail executives and shoppers will remember 2008 as the year the party ended, and 2009 to be the year of the hangover. Already, Circuit City, Linens ‘N Things, Sharper Image, Expo Design Centers of Home Depot and several Macy’s stores are all closing down.
To make matters worse it was reported today that tens of thousands of jobs were cut nationwide yesterday-with more companies expecting to slash payrolls in the months ahead.
