Here we go again. One day I’m reporting a Boston Herald article that sales prices are on the rise, and today asking prices are being slashed.
More than a third of Boston-area homes listed for sale on real estate website Trulia are going for a reduced price.
With 34 percent of homes selling with a slashed price, Boston ranks fourth in the country behind Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Dallas.
The average price reduction of for-sale homes in the Boston area listed on the website is 7 percent. The total amount of reductions is estimated at $51.8 million, according to Trulia.
