I just put a Beacon Hill condo under agreement, lets go celelbrate, said the Beacon Hill broker on a joyous voice.
Why should I celebrate? I hate going out in summer heat, James.’
‘Sue, there’s a great Italian place on Charles Streer…’
‘Near the Boston Common?’
‘Yes.’
‘I get bitten by every flaming insect. Guess where they originate? In the Common! I’ve still got insect bites from last weekend.’
‘Did you use the repellent I suggested?’
‘I shouldn’t need it.’
‘No then. Are you staying in all summer and mope?’
‘All right. I’ll try that stuff but if I’m bitten again…’

Thirty minutes later, Sue was at outdoor table eating a huge plate of pasta.
She was smiling.
