The Boston condo broker had sold Back Bay, Beacon Hill and Seaport condos, in addition to renting apartments for the last 20 years. Some of them nice, others…well, that was the game, wasn’t it? And here he was, on his back in the operating theatre, in need of a heart transplant. Who’d have thought it? He quit smoking. Drank less. Improved his diet,  But here he was.

The surgeon leaned over him. “Nice to see you, I’ve got a perfect heart for you.” Just for me?.  “Yes, ticking over there nicely. A real bargain…”

He felt the touch of the scalpel and screamed.
